ONE MILLION MORE MIDWIVES MARCH

The Saturday Pre-Congress event, marking the arrival of midwives from around the globe to their triennial congress, has become a beloved tradition. From the Road to Durban, to Prague’s Voices of Midwives, Toronto’s March for More Midwives, and Bali’s Dance for Women’s Empowerment—Lisbon now continues the legacy.

This increasingly popular curtain-raiser invites hundreds of midwives to march together in solidarity, delivering a powerful message: the world needs more women in leadership, more midwives, and greater equality and empowerment for all women.
